With the release of Pokemon Diamond & Pearl in the Europe, we knew it would hardly take any time (if at all) to claim the #1 and #2 spots in hardware.
While Pokemon Diamond successfully captured the #1 spot, Pokemon Pearl however fell to the formidable foe, Transformers: The Movie Game. However, Pearl was only outsold by about 100-200 units.
So be ready for many weeks of ahead of Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Pearl, and... Transformers: The Movie? at the top spots in the UK!
Is it just me, or does the UK really have something for games based off of movies?

No one didn't believe that Pokemon Diamond & Pokemon Pearl would not be huge hits on the already highly successful Nintendo DS. If any game would have proven the lasting power of the DS, or the fact it is a money printing device it is these two games.
The marvelous point about this 10 million mark feet, is that the game has JUST been released in Europe. Thus means it is no where near its peak, and goes to show that over these past 10 years, Pokemon has really developed a lasting power.
