Pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, LeafGreen, and FireRed can be traded to the Shinou Region. Once you transfer the pokemon from your older cartiridge, they are permantely deleted and transferred to Shinou where you will have to locate and capture your pokemon once more. You are only allowed to transfer six pokemon to the Shinou Region per day.

	You will be able to transfer your pokemon which will inhibit the Shinou District once a certain condition is met. ダイヤモンド・パール』で物語の序盤にもらえるポケモンずかんは、シンオウ地方に生息するポケモンを登録できる「シンオウずかん」。さらに冒険を進め、ある条件を満たすと、ポケモンずかんが「ぜんこくずかん」にパワーアップする!!　シンオウ地方以外のポケモンも登録できるようになるので、まずは「ぜんこくずかん」の入手をめざそう！
	You must insert your GBA Cartiridge into the Double slot of the DS. The Game Title is added to the menu list. 連れてきたいポケモンが入っているGBAカートリッジ(『ルビー・サファイア』『ファイアレッド・リーフグリーン』『エメラルド』のいずれか)と、『ダイヤモンド・パール』のDSカードをDSのダブルスロットにセット。タイトル画面のメニューに追加される「○○○(GBAカートリッジのタイトル)から　つれてくる」を選ぶと、『ダイヤモンド・パール』へ連れていくことができるぞ。
	You are allowed to transfer six pokemon per day to the Shinou region. Select the pokemon you would like to transfer to the Shinou Region in the following screen. いよいよ、『ダイヤモンド・パール』へ連れていくポケモンの選択。連れていけるポケモンは１カートリッジにつき一回に6匹で、連れて行った6匹を捕まえてからでないと、次の6匹を連れて行くことができない。また24時間以内は同じカートリッジから再度連れ出すことができない。まとめてたくさん連れていきたい場合は、毎日コツコツ6匹ずつ移そう。なお、GBAカートリッジから『ダイヤモンド・パール』へ連れていったポケモンは、GBAカートリッジへ連れ戻すことができないぞ。だれを連れていくか、よーく考えて選ぼう。
	The six pokemon you transfer will be transferred to a park facility in Shinou. You will have to use a private Monster Ball type titled the "Park Ball" that has a 100% capture rate. The rarer the pokemon, the harder it is to locate the pokemon in the facility. Once you locate and capture your old companion, your capture time is recorded in it's data. 『ダイヤモンド・パール』へ連れてきたポケモンたちは、「パルパーク」という施設に出現する。受付でもらえる「パークボール」は、パルパーク内専用のモンスターボールで、必ずポケモンを捕まえることができるどうぐだ。しかし、ポケモンはパルパーク内のどこに現れるか見当がつかず、めずらしいポケモンとはなかなか出会えないことも……!?　６匹全部捕まえると、自分のパソコンのボックス内に入り、いっしょに冒険にいくことができるよ(ただし、ひとつのカートリッジにつき24時間以内に1回のみ)。
