Pokemate is an application for mobile phones and is free for anyone to download. You can expierence a free period of one month similar to the services of the "formal service edition". In the game, you can obtain Monster Balls to capture wild pokemon.

Selecting a Wild Charizard and successful capture.

In an event, Chinchou is available from July 30th. Kyogre is only available from July 24th until July 30th.

The application comes preinstalled on the FOMA P902iS. If you succesfully capture a wild pokemon with a Monster Ball, you can use it as your partner. If you have admitted to the "formal service edition", an event will occur every month. You can also look at the stats of your captured wild pokemon and display the list of captured pokemon.

When you have no Monster Balls in your possession, you can buy a quantity of ten for 105 Yen (including tax).

The wild pokemon that you capture are sent to your room. You also have the ability to send mail to friends in the application and also invite them into your room.

Selecting a Chatroom and sending a message.

A preinstallation edition exists on the FOMA P902iS but you still have the capability of admitting to the "formal service edition". Up to sixteen people can particpate in a chat, with each user appearing as a pokemon sprite with their own avatar. The service will cost 210 yen per month or approximately 1.50 euro. It has not been annouced if the US will ever see a version of the application.
