The goal of the game is to travel around the entire Pokemon world, capturing rare species of pokemon and collecting badges to eventually become the greatest Pokemon master!

Now you ask, "What's the diffference between Red and Blue?" Well, the main thing is the species of Pokemon you can catch. Each version has pokemon exclusive to its version only. That means you can't catch certain pokemon in both packs.

gamrb042.gif (4380 bytes)There are a total of 150 pokemon that you can catch without a game shark. Actually, there are a little more, but those pokemon are just coputer glitches. You will have to trade to get some pokemon, you may have to trade to evolve some pokemon, and you may have to buy some pokemon at a special store.
