Pokémon Yellow, is an updated game of the original Pokémon Red and Blue. It has been improved in terms of graphics, as now Pokémon look much cooler and nicer than before, an example? Look at the game's intro. Also Pokémon Yellow has some differences in comparison with the original games. Also a  new Pokédex with new Pokémon graphics and info has replaced the old Red and Blue one.
The plot of the game still is catch all Pokémon and become the greatest master, but now, your adventure will start quite similar at the television show, so don't expect to get as your first Pokémon Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander, because you won't, you will get the famous Pikachu! Also Gary will have different Pokémon. Pikachu will never evolve to Raichu in this game (as the tv show). Pikachu will also be a little peculiar. Pikachu's attack and defense when battling will be affected with the  way you are treating him, and also depending in his happiness level you will get the 3 starting Pokémon from Red and Blue. Yeah, all 3 starting Pokémon.

New events
Another features in this game are that it has a mini-game at Fuchsia City called Surfing Pikachu and the complete change of the Unknown Dungeon, where you can find Mewtwo.

Multiplayer
At the multiplayer game, now it has been added a new option called Pika Cup. This is a option which uses the rules of the Pika Cup from Pokémon Stadium, but playing it at your Game Boy.
